life in the basement has come and gone. we loved living underground, but are excited to practice maintaining a home. join me as i journal chapter two of our life, as we save up, look forward, and plan for a home in the city. as we seek after our great God to glorify Him daily, join in as we figure out what it means to radically pursue Him in "everyday life"

ideas...collage! or should i say, "gallery wall"

its finally the weekend and i am thrilled because my husband has agreed to help me get to work making this basement look more homey! since we have agreed to stay here for another year or two, we decided that we are going to go ahead and hang some things up and make it look more homey and lived in. so, i have been working on gathering pictures, making some paintings, and getting inspired to make our own gallery wall. at first, i was thinking of putting it in our bedroom. really just because we had a lot of empty wall space that i wasn't sure what to do with. as you might remember, i posted a picture of some frames laid out on our bed. nathan made the point that no one would really see it if we put it in our bedroom. after thinking about it more, i knew he was right. i'm too excited about it to hide it in our bedroom. plus, we need something light a cheery- maybe a flower picture or something. so, sunday afternoon, i look forward to adding a new proud decorating moment. here's what it looks like now:

we plan on taking down the coffee mug picture and moving it to the kitchen wall. the chalkboard will stay. and here's some inspiration of what's to come:

this reminds me of our space because of the door

we dont have any shelves yet, but i am looking & saving up for some pretty white ones like this
i would also like to get a file folder and a big letter F
and as a reminder, this is the picture frames that i will put up:
but no blue F- i'll save that for our bedroom.
